    Are you an experienced and committed leader dedicated to preventing and treating cancer in both developed and developing countries? If so, consider serving as the Director of the Center for Global Health at the National Cancer Institute! As Director, you will manage an annual operating budget of approximately $12 million and a total of 40 federal and contractor employees. The NCI portfolio includes grants and projects in 126 countries around the world and all 7 world regions.


    • Promote cancer control planning and implementation to multiple partners and stakeholders.
    • Engage with U.S. Embassy staff in relevant countries to brief them on NCI activities and garner support as needed.
    • Serve as a recognized technical authority, advising the Director of NCI and other senior leaders on NCI's global cancer program.
    • Oversee and exercise responsibility for large-scale clinical trials and research projects involving global cancer and health issues.
    • Lead and manage international research that addresses the global burden of cancer, including studies of health systems, laboratory sciences, and research and behavioral initiatives.
    • Provide leadership and direction to international extramural research programs.
