    Hi Research Community Forum Community,

I hope everyone is doing well, given these strange and uncertain times! I wanted to share some resources that ASCO is making available to help support clinicians, the cancer care delivery team, and patients with cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic. Resources include evidence-based answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about clinical care of patients with cancer, a centralized collection of links to credible sources, the latest decisions about impacted ASCO meetings and programs, an informational webinar, and oncologist-vetted information for patients. Please visit the ASCO Coronavirus Resource Center for more information and to stay in the loop. This page will be updated regularly as the COVID-19 public health situation evolves.

Please feel encouraged to use this space as a way to connect with each other to continue collaborating, sharing your challenges, best practices, and ultimately supporting each other as we all work to overcome this new challenge. How is your site responding to COVID-19? How is it impacting clinical research at your site?

    Group,

We appreciate the efforts of Courtney and all of her colleagues at ASCO for keeping our community well-informed and safer.  Obviously the viral pandemic is impacting our clinical research and the day to day care of our patients with cancer.  As an oncologist, I am forever optimistic.  I believe there will be some good that comes through the innovations being used to address this health crisis (telemedicine, remote monitoring, virtual assessments, and many others).  Share your best practices and innovations with our community. My best wishes go out to all of you who courageously remain on the front lines in support of our patients.  Keep yourself and your families safe.

    Dave

    Hi All,

We've developed a brief resource sheet to help support oncology researchers dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak, which is available in our Library. After navigating to the Library, double-click the PDF located in the COVID-19 Resources for Researchers folder to access the resource sheet. We'll be updating this resource regularly. If you're aware of a resource that would be good to include, let us know!

    Stay safe,

    Hi All,

The 4/14 version of our resource sheet is now available in the Library. I also wanted to highlight the next ASCO-ONS joint webinar, which will take place this Thursday (4/16) from 4:00 - 5:00 PM, ET. The webinar will cover clinical trials during the COVID-19 outbreak and will feature ASCO RCF Steering Group member Kandie Dempsey, DBA, MS, RN, OCN and ASCO Center for Research and Analytics Division Director Suanna Bruinooge, MPH, among other speakers. If you can't watch it live, be sure to check out the recording.

    Hi Courtney,

Is there a limit to the number of participants?  The registration says it is full.  Just wanted to clarify and make sure there wasn't a glitch in the system.

    Thanks,
    Amy

    Hi All,

Quick update: the link to the ASCO-ONS webinar recording is available for access online. We've also posted a new edition of the resource list to the Library. Please let me know if you have any issues accessing the webinar recording.

Also, I thought I would mention that ASCO holds another COVID-19 webinar series aimed towards the global oncology community every Tuesday at 8 AM, Eastern. Recordings for the last two webinars in the series are also available online and there are two more scheduled.

    Best,
    Courtney

    Hi All,

Just wanted to send a gentle reminder that the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) COVID-19 survey noted on this forum's announcements will be closing May 14th. Please don't feel obligated to complete it, but wanted to flag in case it is of interest.

The survey is open through Thursday, May 14, and may be found here.

This survey is about how COVID-19 has changed cancer care and it is intended for multiple stakeholders - patients, survivors, caregivers, and health care providers. Any insights from stakeholders will be used by this group to inform recommendations and policies. Please feel welcome to share within your networks as well, if feasible – both care providers and patients.
